Bengaluru Police Order Review of All Day Care Centres After Crèche Abuse Case at Capgemini Campus

An IT company's on-campus day care centre in Bengaluru is at the centre of a disturbing case after parents accused caregivers of physically and mentally abusing young children. The case gained wider attention after Bengaluru's police commissioner announced that a special team led by a senior officer would investigate the matter thoroughly. He also revealed a much bigger step: all day care centres across the city, including those run inside company campuses, will now be checked to ensure they are following required safety and childcare norms.
Capgemini, for its part, said it is fully cooperating with the police investigation and has temporarily shut down the on-campus day care facility while the matter is being probed.
